General Information

The information provided on this website and by Soltara is for general informational purposes only. All content, including text, graphics, images, and other material, is provided “as is” and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this website or received from our staff.

Not Medical Advice

Soltara does not provide medical advice. The services offered, including plant medicine ceremonies, wellness modalities, dietary guidance, and integration support, are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Our intake process is designed to identify contraindications for safety purposes and does not constitute a medical examination or diagnosis. Guests are responsible for consulting with their own healthcare providers before participating in any retreat program.

Assumption of Risk

Participation in plant medicine ceremonies and retreat activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical, psychological, and emotional effects. By registering for and attending a retreat, participants acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

While we maintain rigorous safety protocols, including medical intake, trained facilitators, onsite medical support, and emergency procedures, no retreat center can eliminate all risk. Participants are required to sign informed consent documentation prior to participation.

Medication & Substance Interactions

Ayahuasca contains monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), which can interact dangerously with certain medications, supplements, and substances. It is the responsibility of each participant to disclose all medications, supplements, and substance use during the intake process.

Failure to fully disclose medication use or to follow prescribed tapering and discontinuation protocols may result in serious adverse health effects. Soltara reserves the right to decline participation to any applicant whose medical profile presents unacceptable risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Soltara, its officers, directors, employees, facilitators, healers, and agents shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in retreat programs, use of this website, or reliance on any information provided herein.

Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites and resources. These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. Soltara does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Governing Law

All retreat operations are conducted in Costa Rica under applicable Costa Rican law, including permits issued by the Costa Rica Ministry of Health. Any disputes arising from participation in retreat programs shall be governed by the laws of Costa Rica.
